Taylor Jenkins Reid is an author that makes you stay up past your bedtime. Once you start reading her books, you can’t put them down, even as you tell yourself to slow down, savor it. You know you’re going to be mad when the book is over and you have to wait until her next book is released yet you can’t stop yourself. It has gotten to the point where Jasmine Guillory can do no wrong in my eyes. Her books aren’t the most original romances out there but they are always charming and fun and the stories are delightful. This book is no different. This is a challenging book to review because so much has been written about it, and its author, already. It went on my “to be read” list almost immediately upon publication but was always passed over for various reasons. So when I saw the pop sugar challenge item of reading a book published posthumously, I knew the time had come to read the book that everyone seemed to love. And I was very, very happy I did because this was a gripping, emotional, and almost unbelievable story that needed to be told.
